Platinum Alphabet Challenge
Earn a platinum trophy for a game starting with every letter from A to Z.
No sign-in and no PlayStation account linking. The PSN ID only needs to have trophies set to public.
The alphabet challenge is one of the oldest self-imposed goals in trophy hunting: earn a platinum for a game beginning with each of the 26 letters. It is a good excuse to leave the comfort zone, because sooner or later the only thing standing between a hunter and a completed alphabet is a letter like Q, X or Z, and the shortlist for those letters is not long.
This tracker checks a platinum list against the alphabet automatically. Each letter shows whether it is covered, how many platinums sit behind it, and which games they are. The letters still missing are listed together, so what to hunt next is obvious.
Titles beginning with 'The' are filed under the next word, which is the convention most hunters use — otherwise T would fill up on its own while the rest of the alphabet stayed empty. Games starting with a number or symbol are grouped separately and do not count toward the 26 letters.
- Enter a PSN ID with trophies set to public.
- Every platinum is sorted into its letter, and the missing letters are listed for you.
- Click any covered letter to see which platinums are filling it, then download the board as a PNG.
- Letter grid — all 26 letters at a glance, showing which are covered and which are still open.
- Missing letters — the letters you still need, listed together so you can plan what to play next.
- Letter detail — click a letter to see every platinum filing under it, with artwork, platform and earned date.
- The prefix rule — titles starting with 'The' are counted under the following word, matching how the challenge is normally played.
- Prestige count — once every letter is covered, the tracker shows how many complete alphabets you have, so a second and third pass through A to Z still count for something.
- Export — download the alphabet board as a PNG image.
Frequently asked questions
Which letter does a game count for?
The first letter of the game's title, after any leading 'The' is set aside. Titles starting with a number or a symbol are grouped into a separate bucket and do not fill one of the 26 letters.
Do I need the platinum, or is any trophy enough?
The platinum. The tracker only looks at games where you earned the platinum trophy, which is what makes the challenge worth doing.
What does the prestige count mean?
It is the number of times the full alphabet has been covered. If the thinnest letter has three platinums behind it, the alphabet is complete three times over.
Which letters are usually hardest?
Q, X, Y and Z have the shortest lists of PlayStation games with platinum trophies, so most hunters finish the other 22 letters long before those four. The missing-letters list makes it obvious which ones are left.
